Sorry to be mostly MIA. On the happy/wonderful side, I've been helping my daughter with her pregnancy. Only about a month to go before my granddaughter joins us. :-D

He doesn't read Live Journal, nor Facebook, nor Twitter, nor any of the other social media outlets, but I still need to publicly wish my beloved husband a happy 35th anniversary. You are and always will be the best thing to ever happen to me and I love you more than ever. I love you always in all ways!
Also, a very happy birthday to

You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
What Tarot Card are You?

Hi everyone! I'm still here -- just going rather nuts with some medical issues - will have more info after Jan. 30 specialist appointment and can hopefully push aside fear and worry then.
But here's the "silly" problem I have and am looking to you wise folks for help with...I don't drink coffee but I'm looking to get a k-cup type coffee maker for my husband for our anniversary - he wants one that does coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- but I have no idea where to even begin comparing them for desirable features -- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
**big hugs for my sweet LJ family**

You were born during a Waning Crescent moon
This phase occurs right before the new moon.

- what it says about you -
You appreciate closure. It bothers you when people promise to do something and then don't follow through. You want to able to right the wrongs of the past. Studying history motivates you to improve the world. You put a lot of hope in the future and look forward to seeing technology and progress improve our lives.

It is winter.
It is night.
We await the Sun.
We await the light.
In this darkness
In this night,
We await the warmth.
We await the light.
From the darkness is born the light.
From void, fulfillment emerges.
The darkest night of the year's at the threshold.
Open now the door, and honor to the darkness
Before my fire this night, I asked for blessings upon this house and my kin.
Now, at daybreak, a special flame I tend without and carry within.
I add my will to the Returning Sun's intent to climb aloft in the vaulted skies.
Awaken, O Sun, and look upon Earth.
Her rebirth while you slumbered was subtle and silent.
The Stag, the Bird, the Seed, they await your wakening,
Gentle and benevolent.
Light now the fires of your hearths, your homes, and your hearts.
Carry sweet tidings, 'round the world and beyond,
I charge thee as messengers of joy.
Let all rejoice loudly in the Sun's return.
Tell all that you meet of the glad tidings you bear.
Yule is upon us, and life returns anew!
Bright Blessings and Happy Yule to you all! **hugs FList**
(can't you just picture Frodo as the Yule Spirit, dressed in ivory and silver, wreath of holly about his curls, tending the Yule Fire and sitting the Vigil by the Party Tree, only to have all in Hobbiton to come on Yule morn to rekindle their hearth fires from his small blaze?)

Hi all --
Still crazy busy with the Dickens' Christmas Festival in Skaneateles in full swing, but I wanted to list some wonderful goodies available from family and friends for unique holiday gifts:
Firstly, my husband's hand-made stained glass at:
ON GLASS WINGS (only a couple of pieces up on the site as we've not had time to add the others -- but feel free to ask about things - he does custom work)
Secondly, my piratical friend's cool costumed critters and pirate-y stuffs at:
The Pirate Empire *Click on the little menu box to find the fun critters*
Thirdly, two "starving actor" friends have lovely crocheted/knit things at:
Rosemary Burrow
Fourthly, you've GOT to check out all the wonderful hand-thrown, hand-glazed, microwavable/dishwasherable, drool-worthy pottery at:
Hughes Pottery
And finally, my esoteric friend's home-made herbal goodies business at:
The Sage Apothecary
As you know, I crochet all sorts of things, but I'm booked up through the holidays. But you can certainly talk to me if you want something after the first of the year.
Check them out NOW! BUY STUFF!
